Along with helping others purchase and renovate their dream home, Chip and Joanna have completely renovated their own country style home and transformed it into a charming farmhouse in the country for their family of six.

Walls in the farmhouse were removed and the structural components of the home upgraded.  The overall space in the farmhouse has been reconfigured to suit a more modern family lifestyle.  For example, the master bathroom is now the kitchen.

I do love the open shelving in this kitchen, it creates a more relaxed farmhouse feel along with extra storage.

Joanna’s main priority was to open up the main living, dining, and kitchen area. An island bench with metal pendant lights and timber floors are all elements for the perfect modern farmhouse kitchen.

I chose whites and soft neutral tones in the farmhouse so that it would be a calm place for the family when life gets full. Joanna Gaines

I love that soft white neutral tones have been used throughout the farmhouse.  The dining table is finished with a vase filled white hydrangeas in a tray.  We love decorating with trays and white hydrangeas.
