There’s something timeless and magical about decorating for Christmas, and this year I found myself drawn to classic red ribbons and bows. Simple yet striking, They’ve become the thread that ties my entire home together for the season.

As you step through the front door, the holiday feeling begins right away. A lush green wreath hangs on the door, finished with a full red linen bow that sets the tone for what’s inside. I wanted the décor to feel festive but not too overwhelming, intentional, cozy, and full of joy.

In the living room, the Christmas tree takes center stage. I kept the ornaments mostly neutral so the red ribbons could really shine. With red bows tied to the branches. A few strands of warm white lights wrapped around the tree complete the look, making the whole room glow in the evenings. Which I absolutely love.

The mantel is one of my favorite spots this year. I layered greenery across the top and tied a larger red bow at each end.
Moving into the dining area, I carried the ribbon theme through with bows and boxwood wreaths tied around chair backs and a centerpiece made of vases of white Hydrangeas, and Dahlias from the garden. I tied red ribbons to the chandelier for a festive touch.

Even the little corners of the house didn’t escape a touch of holiday cheer. Door handles, a decorative bird cage, and shelves all feature subtle pops of red ribbon, proving that sometimes the smallest details make the biggest impact.
Decorating my home this Christmas reminded me that you don’t need to overcomplicate things to create something beautiful. A single color, repeated thoughtfully, can transform a space and make it feel truly festive. Red ribbons and bows brought warmth, tradition, and a little bit of magic into every room—and I couldn’t love it more.

Thank you for taking this Christmas home tour with me. I hope it inspires you to add your own simple, meaningful touches to your holiday décor this season.
