How to Create A Cosy Breakfast Nook

I would love a breakfast nook in my kitchen and dining area.  They look so inviting and you can just imagine sitting there and reading your favourite magazine and enjoying your first cup of coffee.  Today I have some beautiful breakfast nook inspiration and some tips on how to create your own.

Plan your breakfast nook around a sunny corner of your kitchen or dining area.  You can then enjoy the morning sunshine streaming in through the windows.

Built in bench seating can be simple and not too fussy, whether you do only one long bench, an L shape or U shaped bench to suit your specified dining area.

Pendant Light

A pendant light is the finishing touch for your breakfast nook.  It really draws your eye to the dining space and completely defines your breakfast nook area.

Table Setting

Determine the style of your breakfast nook.  You can really have some fun choosing a beautiful table and chairs, and you won’t need so many chairs with all the bench seating either.

Finally, dress and style your breakfast nook.

  • Chair padding
  • Beautiful cushions
  • Flowers for the table

I could imagine sitting in any of these breakfast nooks in the morning sunlight with some freshly brewed coffee and a croissant of course.  Do you have a favourite place to eat your breakfast.
