Now that Spring is here the garden is starting to bloom, the iceberg roses are about to flower and the Lilac trees are blooming and have already opened up.  Today I have picked a simple bunch of Lilacs for the entrance in my home.

The perfume from this bunch of Lilacs is so beautiful.  I don’t ever remember the fragrance being that strong.  They are a flower that doesn’t last that long so to celebrate them this Spring I have picked a bunch for my entrance to enjoy.

The lilac flowers can range in colour from pink to purple and white.  Some varieties range from a dwarf plant to a tall tree that will grow up to eight feet tall or more, read the label of your Lilac tree or ask your local nursery.

The Lilac tree is known for their fragrant flowers and they can bloom from spring to early summer. Don’t you love picking flowers or greenery from your garden for your home.  What do you have planted in your garden to use for fresh flowers or foliage?
