Raquel Garcia is a Designer who lives in a small Gold Coast Connecticut town in the USA. The Cape Cod style house is home to Raquel, her three daughters and two dogs, Luna and Gypsy.
You can see more of Raquel’s beautiful work here on her website.
Raquel purchased the Cape Cod home in 2015 and undertook an eight week renovation. Included in the renovation was the relocation of some windows to allow in more natural light. A dormer was also added off the second floor.
The floor plan was left open and nearly 700 square feet in space was added to the home.
“I love decorating large homes, but I actually prefer living in smaller spaces that are cozy,” Raquel Garcia
Raquel has tried to include some original elements in the Cape Cod home, such as shiplap walls painted in a soft shade of high gloss gray and beachy white oak hardwood floorboards.
The four bedrooms are located upstairs and decorated in soft hues for a peaceful and calm home. The headboard is made with a mid century Schumacher print and designed in Raquel’s studio.
