Spring is one of my favourite seasons for decorating my home. Our gardens are starting to bloom and we can spend more time outdoors. Today I have some tips on how to style your home beautiful for Spring.
Flowers
My garden has just started to sprout new leaves and buds, so there will be some time until the first flowers pop through.
I love to pick up a mixed bouquet or bunch of flowers at the local florist or fruit and vegetable market. I will also be heading out to my local nursery for a pot of colorful bulbs to place at my front door to welcome spring into my home.
Fresh Linen
Spring is the perfect time to clean out your linen cupboard and update your bedroom with some fresh new linen. I have the light blue Belgian Flax Linen Quilt above from Pottery Barn over the end of my bed. It’s one of my favourite pieces.
Some new towels for the bathroom and bed sheets will make you feel like you’re on a holiday at home.
Cushions & Books
Choose some fabric to cover some old cushions or indulge in some new cushions to freshen up your home for a new season. Beautiful new cushions are a quick and easy update and can change your living room decor instantly.
Update A Table Vignette
Rearrange your coffee table or console table by changing around your home decorating or garden books. You can find some beautiful new books at Beautiful House.
If you are decorating with a theme add a pot plant, coral or something special from your travels.
Paint
A fresh coat of paint is always a good idea for Spring and it’s the perfect temperature to repaint a room. If you don’t need your living room painted, update a piece of vintage furniture such as a console table or timber chair. This will not only give your room a lift for Spring but will add some colour too.
