Back in April, Mum and I went along to the Carlton Gardens and Royal Exhibition Building for the annual Melbourne Flower and Garden Show. Today I am going to take you on a garden tour of the Husqvarna Garden which was created by Leading Australian Landscape Designer Charlie Albone and designed and constructed by his company Inspired Exteriors.
The garden featured many clipped topiary domes which were placed either side of the stone path that leads you up to the formal entertaining pavilion. Positioned either side of the path behind the topiary domes is a copper water feature.
Charlie Albone won a silver-gilt medal at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2015 and is also co-host on “Selling Houses Australia” on Foxtel’s The Lifestyle Channel. The large potted plants formalise the pavilion entertaining area.
The Husqvarna Garden, An Urban Sanctuary, was built in just nine days and won a Bronze Show Garden Award at the Melbourne Flower and Garden Show.
I really loved that Charlie has added some cottage plants that really soften the look of this grand and formal garden and entertaining area.
Gardens are a place to enjoy and relax. I really loved taking in this beautiful garden at the show. The amount of planting and design that is put into the landscape is amazing. Are you a gardener? Do you have plans to create your own outdoor room?
