Summer is the perfect time for hosting your next party, with longer days and warmer weather. Today I have some inspiration and decorating ideas to host the perfect Summer party.

Make It Beautiful

I have many beautiful flowers in the garden in Summer, from my pink and blue Hydrangeas to pink and yellow David Austin roses and some absolutely gorgeous Dahlias in many shades of pink, including my favourite Cafe au Lait Dahlia.

They allow me to create a beautiful display for the entrance of my home, bathroom, and kitchen or to decorate the dining table, whether we are sitting inside or out under the verandah.

If I don’t have any flowers in bloom I will buy a beautiful bouquet from my local florist.

Table Setting

Being organised is key to a successful summer party. I am now much more organised and have the time to plan before my party. Leading up to the party I will make sure I have a tablecloth washed and ironed and ready to use, and the colour theme is chosen.

Choosing napkins and candles to add randomly down the middle of my table with my flowers.

I have a separate outdoor table to serve the food on and set out the plates and cutlery, depending on how many guests I have.

I like to style up a separate refreshments area so that guests can help themselves, after their champagne on arrival of course.

Decor

Adding the pretty things to my table setting and home is the fun part, here are some of the things to style your summer party beautiful.

I have a set of wicker chairs to set up on the lawn with some cushions and a white outdoor timber bench on the verandah, lined with cushions to coordinate with my colour and style.
