If you are looking for some quick and easy Christmas decorations, today I have an easy Christmas DIY project for you to try. These paper Christmas Trees are so easy, you can make just one or make many and use them as a centrepiece on your Christmas table or Christmas mantel.
What you will need:
- Christmas Tree Pattern
- Pretty paper
- Sewing machine
I have used some old scrap booking paper and wall paper for the paper trees. Cut out your template on a thin piece of cardboard. This creates a strong template that’s easy to trace around and cut each tree out. Each tree requires three single paper trees.
Put three paper trees together, one on top of the other. Fold the top tree in half to create a centre fold line or simply draw a centre line in with a pencil to give you a line to follow for sewing the trees together.
Place the tip of the tree in your sewing machine and sew down the centre, like the above picture. Below is a step by step guide.
Firmly fold over each side of the paper tree, so as they will evenly spread out and stand up. Continue sewing as many as you need.
Have some fun and be creative, you can use your old Christmas cards to cut out the tree templates. Make as many as you need. Use traditional Christmas Colours or something soft and pretty. Merry Christmas.
