With many people working from home, today we have some home office inspiration to help you put together your own office space, and to inspire you to keep focused and productive at home.

Desk

Choosing your desk is easy.  Firstly work out where your desk will be placed in your office, and then choose the configuration that will suit your office space.  A single standing desk in the centre of the room, an L shaped desk or a long desk against the wall.

Chair

An ergonomic office chair will provide comfort and support, especially if you are sitting at your desk for long periods of time.  Choose a chair that will suit your needs.

Lighting

You may require more direct lighting other than your ceiling light fitting.  I find that a desk lamp is really handy in the winter months when its getting darker a bit earlier.

Choose your lamp and bulb to suit your lighting requirements.  Take care not to have the lamp cord in the way across your office floor.

Storage

We all need more storage to minimise office clutter, store your files, stationery and printer in a cupboard or console table.  Use baskets and storage boxes to keep your desk free of unnecessary items.

Decorate

This is the part I love about decorating my office.  There is so much beautiful office stationery to choose from.  Keep a storage of note books and pens on hand.
