Its time to style your bedside table beautiful with a stylish vignette. Today I have some tips and inspiration on how to create a designer vignette on your bedside table that you will love.

Size & Proportion
When shopping for a new bedside table, take the height measurements of your bed with you. Choosing a bedside table that is the same height or slightly taller than the top of your mattress is considered a general rule to go by.
If you are looking for some extra storage, choose a bedside table with drawers or some space to place a storage basket underneath. Having extra storage with drawers will help you to keep your bedside table clutter-free and looking beautiful all the time.

Lamp
Add colour and interest to your bedside table with a bright lamp base or lampshade. Check that the height of your lamp is suitable for reading in bed or give your current lamp a makeover with a new shade.
Beautiful House have a selection of custom made lampshades to order. You can email us and we would be happy to help with fabric selection and sizing.

Artwork & Books
Look for something you love, frame a favourite photo, greeting card or painting you found on your travels. You can buy some beautiful cards and they often make inexpensive framed pieces of artwork.

Decor
Add a few carefully chosen decor pieces to your bedside table. Keep it simple, I like to decorate in groups of three next to my bedside table. Flowers, lamp and my favourite perfume.
Change your styled bedside table often, and change out the perfume for a decorative jewellery box or small tray.

Flowers
Colour and texture can be added to your bedside table with a beautiful bunch of flowers. Whether you hand pick them from the garden or spoil yourself with a fresh bunch of flowers from your local florist.
If you don’t have much room available, use a bud vase to make a smaller posy, or just add some greenery. Style your bedside table beautiful for the week ahead.
Great tips! I’m torn between the idea of adding artwork and books or a bunch of gorgeous flowers on the bedside table. Although, I would say that artworks and books would fit better in the Fall and Winter months, while flowers can add a pop of color and look at their best in the Spring.
Thanks. Flowers are always beautiful.
